Class of 2011
Kimon M. Bolaris is a graduate of Glenbrook South HS. He was the director of WGBK 88.5 FM Radio Station, in Glenview, for the 2014-2015 school year. Kimon has been always interested in the visual arts and he is now attending the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee to pursue his dream in Cinematic and Film studies.

After graduating from Plato, Steven was accepted to Lane Tech College Prep. During his time at Lane, Steven played lacrosse, was a member of a international club, as well as being a part of the choir. His ensemble group won an Honors Superior rating at the CPS Choir Competitions with their performance of "Poor Man Lazarus." With his interest in law peaking in high school, Steven now attends the University of Illinois at Chicago in pursuit of a political science degree. Steven also plans on double minoring in Chemistry and Spanish. Post undergrad, he plans on attending law school with the goal of becoming a intellectual property attorney.

After graduating from Plato, Marie attended Lane Tech College Prep, where she entered the Honors program and excelled in choir. She graduated in the top 5% of her class and chose to attend DePaul University as a recipient of their Presidential Scholarship. She entered again into the Honors program, has been listed as a member of the Dean’s List every quarter since she began, and was a recipient of the Dean’s Award for Scholastic Excellence. In 2014, she was a recipient of the Panhellenic Scholarship Award. She is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She is majoring in English Literature and minoring in French, and was recently accepted into the 5-year Combined BA/MAE program, which will allow her to receive her graduate degree in just one year.
ANNE MARGARET BOSWELL
Class of 2009
Anne Margaret is a graduate of Glenbrook South High School. She was on Student Council and was elected Junior Class Representative by her peers. She was also a student leader of Glenbrook South’s Hellenic club. She participated in Interact, a community service club and kept active by playing on the Varsity Lacrosse team. Anne Margaret received a Master's degree in Accounting from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.She is currently a Deduction Analyst intern at the Robert Bosch Tool Corporation

Hephestion was accepted by the prestigious St Ignatius College Prep. He attended for two years then , tiring of the long commute, he transferred to Glenbrook South He attends the University of Illinois at Urbana, where he is majoring Classics & Classical languages and Economics. He was selected by the European Union Center (EUC) of the UIUC to attend the University of North Carolina Summer Study Tour to Brussels on full scholarship in June 2014. Hephestion also was selected as the recipient of the AY 2013-14 Houston-Papadimitriou Awards which comes with a $1,000.00 prize for excellence in Modern Greek Studies! Hephestion, who has taken all the GRKM classes at the Program in Modern Greek Studies will also graduate with a Minor in Modern Greek. His Modern Greek studies landed Hephestion a (full tuition) FLAS Fellowship by the USD of Education and the European Union Center (EUC) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to study upper level Modern Greek during his Sophomore year. Besides Ancient Greek and Latin ,Hephestion has also reached intermediate level in both French and Russian. He is also fluent in Modern Greek.
Hephestion recently brought home the U of I team trophy as the MVP of the University of Illinois team in the Division IV Panamerican Intercollegiate Chess Championship!
Class of 2008
John was an honor roll student at Saint Viator High-School. He played hockey and lacrosse all four years. John was a member of the hockey team that played at the United Center in the championship game of the Red Division of the 2012 Blackhawk Cup state tournament. He was also President of Italian club, completed over one hundred hours of service and graduated in 2012.
John graduated from Indiana University, majoring in Informatics with a Business
cognate. John also a member of the IU club Hockey team, and the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He is currently employed at Baxter.

Bobby graduated from Illinois State University in 2015 with a B.A in Secondary Education. He did his student teaching at Roosevelt High School. During college, he was an online sports columnist for The Daily Vidette and later a featured columnist for The Bleacher Report. Bobby was also 2014 Golden Gloves Champ for his weight class. Bobby is currently a Civil Rights Law intern at CAIRChicago. He was accepted to the Juris Doctor program at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law beginning August 2016
GEORGE STAVROS ADAMS
Class of 2007
George attended Northridge Prep High School in Niles, IL and excelled both academically and athletically. He was on the Dean’s list all four years and earned the following honors: National Honors Society, Illinois State Scholar, Debate Nationals, Math Team, Scholar Athlete award, AP Scholar. He was the Salutatorian, graduating second in his class in 2011.
George currently studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana where he will receive a Masters in Accounting Science in the Spring,2016
George is employed by Amazon as an Operations Team Leader

George attended St Viator High school where he graduated with honors. He received a B.A in Communications,Advertising,and Public Relations from St Louis University. He was a member of the Psi Theta Communications Honor Society and a four year coordinator of Relay for Life. George currently is pursuing a Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration at Western Illinois University.
ALCAEOS M. BOLARIS
Class of 2006
Alcaeos is a graduate of the prestigious Saint Ignatius College Prep, in Chicago. He attended the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) studying aeronautical engineering for one year and then he transferred to the University of Illinois College of Engineering graduating in May 2014 with a B.Sc. in Nuclear, Plasma, and Radiological Engineering. Alcaeos is currently living and studying in France. He received a Master in Science degree in Nuclear Energy from the Ecole Nationale Des Ponts et Chaussees in Paris. He is a member of the American Nuclear Society. Alcaeos is fluent in Modern Greek and in French.
FRANSESCA MADONNA CAMPOS
Class of 2006
Fransesca-Madonna graduated in 2010 from New Trier High School. After visiting many West coast universities that were not a good fit, she decided a GAP year was necessary. Thanks to money saved working weekends and summers at family restaurants, she left for her first stint in India in January 2011, for 2 months. In January 2012 she traveled for 10 months, living in India, Greece, and Berlin, Germany. In January 2013 she moved to Berlin and started taking German classes in hopes of enrolling in a German University. As of January 2016, she is enrolled in a 3 year program at a self-disciplinary school taking courses in Phytotherapy, Traditional Chinese Medicine (acupuncture), Homeopathy, Iris-diagnosis, Anatomy and Pathology, along with an array of hands-on body work courses such as Yoga, Shiatsu, Tuina, Qi Gong, Acro yoga, Classical and Thai Massage and many more. The school “Heilpraktikschule in Selbstverwaltung” is built on a self-governing principle, meaning that everyone in the school has equal rights in making decisions about their learning experience and the progress of the school as a whole. The school and its members are also very involved politically and socially and often hold workshops about relevant topics such as racism, consent and violence-free communication. They offer donation based wellness appointments with the proceeds going to solidarity projects and offer free consultations for healing to refugees. At the end of the course and exams Fransesca will be licensed as a “Heilpraktikerin” which literally means “healing practitioner” but is known in the states as a “Naturopath.” To continue her studies outside the classroom, she plans to travel to South America and maybe again to India to explore the Biodiversity with a new perspective and build on her knowledge of the healing power of herbs and plants and learn from natives the wonders of “folk medicine” and traditions in health practices.

Demetra Londos attended Regina Dominican High School. She was a student ambassador, a junior and senior peer leader, a member of the Tri-Music Honors society, a 4 year varsity Lacrosse player and was in 3 school musicals. Always knowing she wanted to pursue a career in music, she joined Choir her sophomore year and Orchestra her senior year.
Demetra was accepted into Berklee College of Music in Boston for Vocal performance. During her time at Berklee, she performed on various recordings and with groups such as Rhythm of the Universe at the Boston Pops. Demetra studied in Valencia Spain her Junior year through Berklee’s international music business program where she attended the esteemed music conference Midem, in Cannes France. She worked for the school’s venue, The Red Room at Café 939, as a marketing and promotions assistant, covering shows for Grammy nominated artists Hozier, Charlie Puth, and Emily King.
After graduating in 2014 she went on to intern for artist management company, Brick Wall Management and was offered a position in new York before completing her time as an intern. She currently lives in Los Angeles and works for Brick Wall Management,

Irini attended Niles North high school. She was not only on the honor roll, but also participated in Percussion Ensemble all four years. During her junior year, Irini’s ensemble was one of ten that made it to Bands of America, the nation’s premier marching band organization. She was also a member of P.A.L.S., an organization that works with children with special needs and graduated in 2010.
Irini currently attends the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and is majoring in English and Secondary Education. She is a member of Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Society for students with a GPA above a 3.5. She was also a student mentor at the university. In addition, Irini was chosen to attend the University of Glasgow, Scotland, in a study-abroad program.
PHOEBOS-APOLLON M. BOLARIS
Class of 2005
Phoebos-Apollon, who started at Plato at the age of 3 1/3 and spent all his years till 8th grade at Plato, graduated from Glenbrook South High School. He continued his education as a History and Philosophy major at the University of Loyola Chicago before transfering to study Classics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is expected to graduate with a B.A. in the Classics, specializing in Ancient Greek (with a minor in Modern Greek), in May 2015. Phoebos has a passion for ancient languages: Ancient Greek, Sanskrit and Latin and he also speaks French, Russian, Persian (Farsi) and Modern Greek. He loves history, geography, languages, politics and current events. He is always following events in Greece, the Balkans, Russia/Central Asia and the Middle East. phoebos' next step is top go to Europe and pursue a Master's degree ion Middle Eastern or Russian and Central Asian Studies. Phoebos Apollon Bolaris is interested in pursuing an academic career, working as a foreign policy analyst with a specialty in energy

Joseph attended North Ridge Prep where he graduated sixth in his class. He was not only a scholar, but also an athlete; he was a 3-year Varsity soccer player and Captain of the team. He was also 2-year Varsity baseball player. Joseph was on the Math Team and a volunteer at the Resurrection Nursing Home. His high school honors include AP Scholar, Illinois State Scholar and National Honors Society.
Joseph was accepted into the University of Illinois at Urbana’s Biochemistry Concentrated Program. He is majoring in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Joseph is an Undergraduate Intern at Beckman Institute where he is conducting research in the Molecular Muscle Physiology Laboratory. He is a volunteer at Carle Hospital and a member of both the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity and AMSA Pre-Med Student Organization. Joseph received a Masters in Medical Sciences from Chicago Medical School of Rosalind Franklin University. He is a first year student at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University

George attended Saint Patrick High School in Chicago where he played on the soccer team and was a part of an English program known as Quinn-Nelson.
He currently attends Dominican University. Along with French club, he is working as an editor for the school paper.

Alex was an honor roll student at St. Viator high school in Arlington Heights. He led several religious retreats including Kairos and was a very active participant in the school's volunteer program. Alex also played 3 years of football and graduated in 2008.
Alex then studied at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He has continued his philanthropic efforts, volunteering for after-school care programs at the Milwaukee Christian Center. He also participates annually for Movember, an event which raises vital awareness and funds for men's health issues, specifically prostate and testicular cancer initiatives. Alex is currently employed by Quad/Graphics.

Serrantos is a graduate of Loyola Academy, class of 2008. He attended the prestigious New York University, Tisch School of the Arts graduating in May,2012 with a Major in Film/TV. Serrantos is an aspiring director.

Anastasia was accepted to the prestigious Whitney Young Magnet School and later transferred to Loyola Academy in Wilmette, where she graduated with honors in 2007. She attended the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), received a Bachelor of Architecture degree and was on the Dean’s list. She has been a Junior Designer/Draftsperson since 2007 and continues to assist in design for Adime Architecture, Incorporated. She was involved in the designing and graphic rendering of an elementary school, medical clinic and church in Haiti for the Orthodox Missions.

Eleni graduated from the prestigious Trinity High School International Baccalaureate program in 2007. She then received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts from Marquette University in 2011. She received a post-graduate degree in Classical Theatre at Kingston University in the United Kingdom. She describes herself as a "Performer. Creator. Dreamer. Developer."

ANGELLA KORITSARIS KONCAREVIC, M.D.
Class of 2001
Angella attended St. Ignatius College Prep and graduated with an Honors Diploma in 2005. She then attended Boston University College of Arts and Sciences where she majored in Biological Anthropology and minored in Biology with a concentration in pre-medicine. Angella graduated from Boston University magna cum laude in 2009. While at BU, Angella received many academic grants such as the Pan Hellenic Scholarship, the Eleni Gatzionnis Scholarship, the Hellenic Times Scholarship, and the Boston University Academic Grant, as well as many other scholarships which recognized her community service, such as the Target Scholarship, the Best Buy Scholarship, and the Kohl's Scholarship.
Angella continued her education at Boston University School of Medicine and received a Master of Arts degree in Medical Sciences in 2011. While working on her M.A., Angella worked as an assistant for a concierge internist and Harvard Medical School professor in Brookline, MA.
Angella received an MD degree from Rush Medical College. She matched into Rush's Anesthesiology program. She completed her intern year at St Francis Hospital in Evanston and is currently an anesthesiology resident at Rush.
CHRISTINA MARIE BOTTIS
Class of 1997
Christina attended Trinity High School in River Forest and graduated as a full candidate of the International Baccalaureate Honors Program in 2001. She continued studying at Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. She was a member of the Sigma Iota Epsilon National Business Honor Society as well.
Christina is an experienced marketer and social media aficionado. She managed the integrated marketing programs of college and university bookstores as Lead Marketing Specialist for the Follett Higher Education Group. She also worked as an Account Executive for Huget Advertising and Public Relations.
Presently, Christina is the Managing Director of the Engagement Management Team at CareerBuilder, where she oversees a team working with the human capital initiatives of Fortune 500 companies.
KATHERINE MANIATIS CELIK
Class of 1996
Katherine graduated from Maine South High School in 2000. She then studied at DePaul University in Chicago and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. Katherine then continued her education at National Louis University and earned a Masters in Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an ELL endorsement. She currently is a teacher at the Guardian Angel School.
FILISA KORITSARIS MANTAS
Class of 1996
Filisa attended St. Ignatius College Prep and graduated in 2000. She was nominated as Sophomore of the Year in 1997 and was a four-year Varsity Soccer player. She was also chosen to travel to Harlan, Kentucky to build homes for the needy during her senior year.
Filisa then attended University of Dayton and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism. She was accepted into DePaul University’s prestigious Clinical Model program for Education where she received her M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction and became an elementary school teacher.
She received a second Master’s degree in Education Leadership with a Type 75 endorsement through the University of Illinois at Urbana. She was an instructor in the Triton College Early Childhood Department from 2000 to 2005. .Filisa is currently Director of Operations for YOLK Restaurant Group and a member of the Plato Academy School Board.
ALFRED A. KORITSARIS, J.D.
Class of 1995
Alfred attended St. Ignatius College Prep and graduated in 1999. He was a four-year Varsity Soccer player and a member of the Elite Eight team that went downstate in 1998. He was also a member of the Schwaben Soccer club and traveled with them to Munich, where he played against the German Youth National team.
Al then attended Marquette University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Business. He began working at Karavidas & Argionis Law Office during college and became a fulltime paralegal after graduation.
Al continued his education at Valparaiso Law School where he received his J.D. in 2006. While at Valparaiso, he was the Illinois Bar Association Representative and a Legal Writing tutor. Al is currently an Attorney at Law with Argionis & Associates LLC where he specializes in workman’s comp, personal injury and medical malpractice cases. Al has been chosen as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers for 2013, 2014, and 2015, an honor reserved for lawyers who exhibit excellence in practice. No more than 2.5% of lawyers under 40 years old are named to the Rising Star list. Al was recently named equity partner in the firm.

Angeliki attended Fenwick High school, graduated in 1998 and was accepted by New York University.
Angeliki then attended the prestigious Irving B. Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago and earned Master of Public Policy degree in 2011. During graduate school, she worked as a research analyst intern for Chicago Public Schools and a consulting intern for the Chicago Community Trust.
Before embarking on a public policy career, Angeliki studied at Columbia College in Chicago and received a B.A. in Audio, Arts and Acoustics.She was the head sound mixer and audio editor for several documentary film shorts.Both her previous media projects and her policy work have focused on LGBTQ issues ranging from health and community activism to immigration.
Angeliki was a Policy Analyst at The Williams Institute, UCLA School of Law from 2001 until 2016. She is currently a Data Journalist/Analyst at The Associated Press.

Taki attended Fenwick High School in Oak Park and graduated in 1995. He then studied at the University of Illinois at Chicago earning a degree in Business.
After graduation, Taki became a real estate broker but knew his true passion was the restaurant industry. Following his dream, he became the Founder/Owner of YOLK, a hot breakfast destination in Chicago. Taki’s restaurant has received rave reviews from Metromix, Dining Out and Chicago Concierge. There are currently five Chicago locations, two locations in Indianapolis and two in Dallas. Taki was recognized as a 40 under 40 Class of 2014 by the prestigious Greek America Foundation.
PETER D. VERROS. J.D.
Class of 1991
Peter attended Fenwick High School and graduated as an honor roll student in 1995. He continued his education at the University of Illinois at Urbana. He then transferred to Loyola University where he received in B.S. in Criminal Justice.
Peter was then accepted into the Chicago-Kent College of Law and received his J.D. in 2004. He began his career in tax law when he joined the Cook County Treasurer office as a staff attorney. He is presently a partner at Verros, Lafakis, and Berkshire, PC. His law firm is recognized in the area of tax appeals and property tax law.
In addition, Peter has been chosen as a 2013 Rising Star by Super Lawyers, an honor reserved for lawyers who exhibit excellence in practice. No more than 2.5% of lawyers under 40 years old are named to the Rising Star list.
